Review
Sennheiser makes some amazing higher-end headphones, but most of them require a dedicated headphone amp to really show their stuff. The HD 555 are one of the few that sound great directly out of an iPod. Like most home models from Sennheiser, they enclose your ears in cushiony comfort. Because the HD 555 are less efficient than many headphones, your iPod won't be able to drive them to ear-splitting levels (not necessarily a bad thing), and you don't get tons of bass, but you'll get a refined sound with stellar detail. Definitely worth considering if you want a pair of higher-end 'phones for home use.--Dan Frakes
