NBC show 'Conviction' pilot debuts on iTunes, for free

by Peter Cohen, Playlist Magazine

Law & Order creator Dick Wolf’s newest television series, an hour-long drama called Conviction, is making its world premier not on TV but on iTunes. Starting today it can be downloaded from the US iTunes Music Store for free — it won’t be on TV until March 3, 2006.

The hour-long ensemble show follows the stories of New York City Assistant District Attorneys. “They’re young and over their heads, pushing to prove themselves in the world’s biggest city and most tumultuous courtrooms,” reads the description.

In addition to the pilot episode, there’s other free “Conviction”-related content, like a music video by the Gabe Dixon Band and a behind-the-scenes look at the show.

Beginning next week, the show will be available for purchase from the iTunes Music Store for $1.99 per episode.
